ELIZABETH BOYE - St. Vincent

The Elizabeth Boye isn't your usual Caribbean wreck, and that’s why we love it. This carrier ran aground during Hurricane Emily back in '87, and she now rests upright on a shallow, sandy bottom. At just 15 metres, it's a calm dive, perfect for extended bottom times and a thorough exploration. You can really get a sense of her scale as you descend onto the bow, schools of silvery jacks often circling the mast. We always make a point of swimming through the cargo holds – the light shafts that pierce the openings are incredible, creating a moody, atmospheric swim-through. Keep an eye on the wreck's structure; the plating is heavily encrusted with sponges and soft corals, providing homes for moray eels and the occasional nurse shark tucked away underneath. It's an easy dive, good for photographers and anyone keen to take their time getting to know a ship that’s become a vibrant artificial reef.
