NAMOTU FISH MARKET - Kadavu & Great Astrolabe Reef

Namotu Fish Market might not have the dramatic drop-offs of some other Kadavu sites, but it delivers on its name. We’ve always found a lively cast of characters here, particularly on the sandy patches bordering the reef. You’ll usually spot bluefin trevally patrolling, often with a school of snapper or fusiliers nearby, making for some good photo opportunities. It’s a shallow, easy dive, perfect for newer divers getting comfortable with reef navigation, or for those days when you just want a relaxed potter among the fish. We often see giant clams tucked into the coral, too, which is always a treat.
