La virgule - Moorea & Tahiti

La Virgule, off Moorea, is one of those spots we always try to hit. You drop into a gentle current, often a light drift, which makes the whole dive feel effortless. It’s got a mix of coral formations, some sturdy stony corals and patches of staghorn, but the real show here is the fish life that works its way through it. We love watching the squadrons of blackspot surgeonfish move in unison; they’re just everywhere. Keep an eye out for the smaller stuff too, especially around the coral heads. We’ve had great luck spotting opossum pipefish tucked away, and the delicate blennies are often perched, watching you go by. Our favourite is probably the batavian parrotfish, always in motion, munching away. It’s a comfortable dive, perfect for just cruising along and soaking it all in, great for photographers who want to take their time, or anyone who just wants a beautiful, easy dive in a classic Polynesian setting.
