Fotteyo Kandu - South Malé Atoll

Fotteyo Kandu is a classic Maldivian drift, and one we’ve come back to a few times. The channel dive offers a reliable conveyor belt ride, pulling you along to where the reef meets the open ocean. We’ve often found grey reef sharks patrolling the drop-off, a few white tips tucked under ledges, and schools of snapper clustered in the current. It’s a good one for intermediate divers who are comfortable with moving water, and the gentle drift means you can just relax and watch the show unfold. Keep an eye out for eagle rays gliding past in the blue.
