Jack Faru - South Malé Atoll
Jack Faru is a decent spot if you’re looking for a relaxed coral cruise in South Malé. We've found it’s less about big pelagics and more about the intricate details of the reef itself. You’ll weave past good stands of Galaxea and Wrinkle coral, with Lesser and Larger star corals filling in the gaps. Keep an eye out for the smaller crabs – Pilodius areolatus and Pseudoliomera speciosa are usually pottering around the crevices. It’s a comfortable dive, good for a second splash of the day or if you just want to take it easy amongst the reef structure.
