Kandoma Beru - South Malé Atoll

Kandoma Beru sits in South Malé, a spot we often suggest for a relaxed dive. We’ve found the hard coral formations here are particularly healthy, with big patches of wrinkle coral and larger star coral creating interesting terrain. Keep an eye out for the seagrass beds too, those patches of thalassia and cymodocea are a bit different from the usual reef profile and attract smaller critters. It’s a good choice for a second dive of the day, or if you’re looking for a calmer experience without needing to fight much current. The real draw here is the chance to spend some unhurried time just observing the reef's texture.
