Miyaru Kandu - South Malé Atoll

Miyaru Kandu means "Shark Channel" in Dhivehi, and it lives up to the name. This is a classic Maldivian drift, and we mean *drift*, so be ready for some serious current. We drop in on the outside reef, then let the channel pull us along. Keep an eye out for grey reef sharks patrolling the drop-off, often in good numbers. We've also spotted eagle rays cruising through the blue here. It's an intermediate dive, probably not one for your first current experience, but excellent for those who appreciate a speedy tour with some big animal potential.
