Rannalhi Kuda Giri - South Malé Atoll

We’ve spent a few hours on this modest pinnacle, and it’s a site that rewards a slow, close look. Rannalhi Kuda Giri is less about big pelagics and more about the small stuff, making it a good choice for macro enthusiasts or newer divers getting comfortable with Maldivian reefs. Keep an eye out for the pygmygobies – the Redlined, Large-eye, and Emery’s are all regulars here, often tucked into the Lesser star and Galaxea corals. It’s a pretty relaxed drift when the currents are mild, allowing plenty of time to explore the crevices for those tiny Palespot Eviotas.
