Vaageli Faru Tila - South Malé Atoll

Vaageli Faru Tila, a compact pinnacle in South Malé Atoll, often sees a decent sweep of current, which keeps things interesting. We’ve found the hard coral growth here pretty impressive, especially the big chunks of star coral and the distinct wrinkles of the wrinkle coral, all forming good shelter for the smaller stuff. Keep your eyes peeled for the pygmygobies – Emery’s, redlined, and large-eye are regularly spotted darting amongst the coral branches. It’s a good little dive for those who enjoy taking their time to really explore the nooks and crannies.
