Tamarin Ocean Pro Diving Ltd - Flic en Flac & West Coast
The team at Tamarin Ocean Pro Diving Ltd are the kind of outfit we always look for when diving somewhere new. Based in Flic en Flac, they’re right on the doorstep of some of our favourite West Coast sites, meaning less time travelling and more time underwater. We love their personal approach, which avoids the cattle-boat feel some larger operations can have. They specialise in small group dives, which is perfect for photographers or anyone who just wants a bit more space on the reef. Our pick for a morning dive with them would be The Cathedral, where the light shafts filtering through the rock formations are truly magical. Go early to beat the crowds and watch for the resident turtles often grazing on the sponges near the sand. For something a bit different, ask them about a trip to the wreck of the Kei Sei 113. It’s a deeper dive, around 34 metres, so save it for your second dive of the day or a dedicated trip. Currents can pick up, especially around the full moon, so it’s always worth checking the conditions with them beforehand.
