KIBRIS I - Paphos & Coral Bay

The Kibris I, a roll on-roll off ferry, went down in 1982 during some rough weather, right there in the harbour. Now it sits upright in just 14 metres, making it one of our favourite shallow wrecks in Cyprus. We love how approachable it is; you can spend a full dive poking around the superstructure, which is still largely intact. Swim-throughs are plentiful, weaving through the old car decks – watch for schooling damselfish flitting in and out of the shadows. On the main deck, keep an eye out for moray eels tucked into crevices, their heads peeking out as blennies dart past. The stern is particularly photogenic, with the propellers now home to colourful anemones. We’d suggest an early morning dive here; the light filters beautifully through the clear Paphos waters, making the metal glow.
