Dive Center Mallorca - Balearic Islands

Dive Center Mallorca is, in our opinion, one of those surprisingly rewarding Mediterranean spots. We’re not talking tropical colours here, but a real sense of wild, rugged underwater terrain. The rock formations are impressive, sometimes dropping sharply, sometimes forming swim-throughs you can fin through, feeling the cool water swirl around you. We’ve had some fantastic moments here, particularly when the sunlight shafts through the water, illuminating schools of sardines or anchovies – they flash silver, a truly mesmerising sight. What we really love about this site is the sheer variety of bottom-dwellers and rock-huggers. Keep an eye out for dusky groupers peering from their crevices; they’re often bigger than you expect. You'll definitely spot wrasse flitting between the bushy coral, and if you’re patient, you might even spot a Mediterranean slipper lobster tucked away. We’d suggest going slow, poking into every nook. It’s a site that rewards careful observation rather than rushing through, and it’s a great choice for macro photographers or divers who appreciate the subtler beauty of the Med.
