Buceo La Herradura - Balearic Islands
The team at Buceo La Herradura are the kind of people you want to dive with. We’ve always found their local knowledge impressive, especially when it comes to the smaller, less obvious spots around La Herradura and the Maro-Cerro Gordo Natural Park. They really shine if you’re looking to push your skills; we especially rate them for technical diving courses, or if you’re eyeing up professional development. What makes them a standout for us? It’s the genuine passion for the local environment. One of our favourite dives with them was a quiet morning drift along the cliffs of Cerro Gordo. The sunlight filtering through the water onto fields of Neptune grass, with a few barracuda cruising in the distance, felt pretty magical. Visibility here can sometimes hit 30 metres, especially outside of the peak summer months, and you get a real sense of the Mediterranean’s quiet beauty. They run a tight ship, always safety-conscious, but never at the expense of a relaxed, fun atmosphere. If you're serious about progressing your diving, or just want to explore the less-travelled corners of the Spanish coast with a knowledgeable crew, these are your people.
