Dive Center Mallorca - Balearic Islands
The team at Dive Center Mallorca have a real knack for making everyone feel like part of the family, even if you’re just there for a day. We especially love their focus on nurturing new divers through SSI courses. This is an excellent pick for anyone getting certified, or those looking to expand their skills with advanced and specialty courses in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. You'd choose them for the warm instructors and the easy access to the southeast coast's surprising dive sites. What makes Dive Center Mallorca a standout for us is the genuine enthusiasm from the instructors. They’ve been at it since ’86, and that experience shines through in their calm, patient teaching style. We've spent time with their Discover Scuba Diving groups, watching nervous faces transform into beaming smiles after their first breaths underwater – that’s a special thing to witness. For those already certified, the local diving here, especially around the rocky coves, often surprises. You’ll find some cracking swim-throughs and small caves where the light filters down in shafts, illuminating schools of tiny damselfish. Our favourite time to dive with them is late afternoon, as the sun begins to dip. The light underwater takes on this golden hue, and the moray eels start to become more active, poking their heads out from rocky crevices. They also run mermaid courses, which adds a fun, unique flavour to their offerings. While many centres feel like a conveyor belt, Dive Center Mallorca feels more like a shared adventure.
