Nerja Dive Resort - Balearic Islands
The team at Nerja Dive Resort are our go-to for hassle-free diving in the Balearics. They’re based right in Marina del Este, which means no long drives to the boat – you’re practically rolling out of bed and onto the RIB. We love that they focus heavily on progression, running everything from your Open Water right up to Assistant Instructor. It feels like a real dive family here, the kind of place where instructors remember your name and genuinely want to see you improve. What makes Nerja Dive Resort special is their access to a surprisingly varied set of sites. While many operations in the area stick to the well-trodden paths, Nerja often finds those quieter corners. We’ve had some incredible moments here, like finning through shafts of light in the sea caves near Cerro Gordo, the water so clear you can see every ripple on the sandy bottom. Our favourite has to be the early morning dives before the crowds arrive – you might just catch a school of barracuda hunting, their scales flashing silver in the dawn light. Their rental gear is solid, always well-maintained, and they offer a Reciclaje course, which we think is a smart move if you haven't been in the water for a while. If you're looking to push your skills and explore some less-frequented spots with a friendly, professional crew, this is absolutely your place.
