OrcaSub Ibiza Diving Centre - Balearic Islands
The team at OrcaSub Ibiza Diving Centre are a good choice if you're staying on the quieter, western side of the island. We’ve always appreciated their chilled-out vibe, a real contrast to some of the busier operations closer to Ibiza Town. They specialise in getting you out to the Es Vedrà Natural Reserve, and honestly, that’s where you want to be diving here. It suits divers who appreciate a personal touch and want to explore some truly interesting topography away from the party crowds. We love that they’re right there in Cala Tarida; it means less faffing about with long transfers. Jump on the boat, and you’re pretty quickly heading towards the mystical rock formations of Es Vedrà. Our favourite dives with them always involve the caves and swim-throughs around this area. Think cathedral-like spaces with shafts of sunlight cutting through the blue, illuminating schools of sardines. The visibility here can be superb, especially in late spring, often pushing 30 metres, which really makes those big cave entrances pop. Keep an eye out for morays tucked into crevices and big groupers lurking in the deeper sections. A practical tip: book your afternoon dives, the light inside the caves can be magical then.
