FERT - Balearic Islands

The FERT, a steamer sunk by a submarine in 1917, now rests at 20 metres, making it a good wreck for most certified divers. What remains of her hull is scattered, but you can still pick out the shape of the vessel, with plenty of nooks and crannies that invite a closer look. We’ve found moray eels peeking from the wreckage and schools of damselfish flitting through the superstructure. It’s a compelling site, rich in history and now a home for Mediterranean reef life.
