La Llosa des Patró Pere - Balearic Islands

La Llosa des Patró Pere, a bit of a local secret, feels like stepping back into a quieter Mediterranean. We love the way the light filters through the water here, giving everything a soft, almost painterly glow. It’s not about huge pelagics or dramatic drop-offs, but the slow, rewarding hunt for the things that make the Med special. Our favourite spot is around the rocky outcrops where the Painted Combers hang out, darting between the crevices. Keep an eye out for the Pink Cuttlefish, they’re masters of camouflage, and if you’re lucky, a Loggerhead Turtle might glide past. We've often found a Curled Octopus peeking from a hidden nook, their eyes following you with surprising intelligence. It's a site that rewards patience, perfect for photographers keen on macro and wide-angle without the rush. Dive it mid-week if you can, the weekend boat traffic can be a bit much.
