HERKULES - West Coast (Gothenburg)

The Herkules, a fishing vessel that sank in the 1950s, is a real favourite of ours on Sweden's West Coast. She lies upright at 29 metres, surprisingly intact, with her mast still standing proud. We love the way she’s become a home for the local critters; you’ll often find schools of pollock circling the wheelhouse, and wolf fish peering out from under her hull. The deck offers plenty to explore, with open hatches leading into the holds – just be mindful of the silt if you venture inside. It's a proper adventure, feeling the chill of the North Sea as you descend onto a piece of history. We’d suggest diving this one on a calm day, as surface chop can make the entry a bit challenging. The visibility here can be excellent, especially in late spring, giving you a proper view of her structure against the green-blue water.
