MIKKI - West Coast (Gothenburg)

Mikki, a cutter that went down in '85, is a solid wreck dive off Gothenburg. She sits upright at 28 metres, making her accessible without being a deep dive, though you’ll want to be comfortable with cold water and limited visibility. What we like about Mikki is the way the wreck has settled into the seabed, now completely colonised by plumose anemones and dead man’s fingers. You can usually poke around the deck, see the wheelhouse, and depending on conditions, even peer into the cargo hold, where crabs often skitter away into the shadows. It’s a good one for divers keen on wrecks rather than big pelagics, offering a real sense of history and plenty of macro life to photograph.
