Okay, so the Beatrice Maud isn't going to be your deep, dramatic wreck dive, but it's got its own charm, especially if you're into shallow history. Sitting in just three metres of water, this old barge, which went down in 1923, is more about exploring the details than penetration. We find it’s brilliant for a long, relaxed dive, really taking your time to peer into the nooks and crannies of the remains. Crabs scuttle through the fragmented hull, and we’ve often spotted blennies poking their heads out, eyeing us curiously. It's a great spot for newer divers getting used to wrecks, or anyone with a camera looking for some calm, accessible shots without the pressure of depth or currents.
