BLESK - Cornwall & Devon

The Blesk, a tanker that met its end on Greystone Ledge in 1896, lies in a manageable 10m of water. It's an accessible dive, and while 96 metres long, what you'll find today are the scattered remains of its structure rather than an intact hull. Think more debris field than upright wreck. But don't let that put you off; the site is home to plenty of conger eels tucked into crevices, and you’ll often spot dogfish resting on the sand nearby. We've spent easy hours here tracing the ribs of the old ship, imagining its past, and watching crabs scuttle across the plates. It’s a good spot for newer wreck divers or anyone looking for a relaxed bimble with some history attached.
