CHARLOTTE SOPHIA - Cornwall & Devon

The Charlotte Sophia isn't about deep exploration or big pelagics. This is a shallow, compelling wreck dive for anyone who loves history and the way the sea reclaims its own. We love that she's so easily accessible, sitting in just 7 metres of water. It's a perfect second dive or a tranquil standalone if you’re focusing on macro. What you'll find here are the scattered remains of a sailing vessel, sunk back in 1916. Think ribs and timbers, encrusted with anemones and hydroids, rather than an intact hull. Look closely amongst the wreckage; we've often spotted blennies peeking from crevices and the occasional dogfish tucked away. It's a gentle drift over history, with visibility often better than you'd expect on a calm day. We'd suggest going at slack tide for the best chance to really take your time and appreciate the details.
