COSRAY 10 - Cornwall & Devon

COSRAY 10 is an unexpected joy, a friendly little wreck just off Tor Bay Sands. When we first heard "barge," we admit, our expectations were low, but this site really delivers. She’s only two metres deep, perfect for a long, relaxed snorkel or a super shallow dive when the visibility kicks in. What you get here is pure, accessible history. The barge broke apart in a gale back in '59, and what's left is spread out, creating a brilliant, broken landscape on the sandy seabed. We love picking through the scattered sections of hull, imagining the storm that tore her apart. You'll find a surprising amount of life hunkering down amongst the twisted metal – wrasse darting between plates, small crabs scuttling into crevices, and sometimes, if you're lucky, an inquisitive cuttlefish cruising overhead. It’s a gentle introduction to wreck diving, or just a really pleasant way to spend an afternoon when the sea is calm and the sun is out.
