CREDO DU MARIN - Cornwall & Devon

The *Credo du Marin* sits upright on the seabed, a trawler that went down in 1997. She’s a proper wreck dive, big enough to explore but not so immense you feel lost. We’ve had some fantastic dives here, often spotting conger eels lurking in the deeper holds, their heads poking out from the shadows. Keep an eye out for dogfish too, sometimes nestled on the sand nearby. We’d suggest hitting this one on a slack tide, otherwise, the current can really rip through, making it tricky to appreciate the details. The wheelhouse is still largely intact, a real highlight, and we love poking around there, imagining the last moments. Visibility can be hit or miss, typical for Cornish waters, but on a good day, the light filters down beautifully, illuminating the anemones and dead man’s fingers that have colonised the superstructure. It’s a dive for those who enjoy a solid wreck with plenty of nooks and crannies to investigate, and enough marine life to keep things interesting.
