Cromhall Quarry - Cornwall & Devon

Cromhall Quarry is one of those places you go when you need to get wet, pure and simple. It’s a flooded limestone quarry, easy to access and relatively shallow, maxing out at about 12 metres. We often use it for skill refreshes or testing new gear, making it ideal for beginners or those getting back into the swing of things. You’ll find a few submerged objects to navigate, like a small boat and a bus, which add a bit of interest. Visibility can be a bit variable, but on a good day, it’s a perfectly pleasant way to spend an hour underwater. Keep an eye out for the Great Crested Newts, they’re the real stars here, though you might need a sharp eye to spot them.
