DALLAS CITY (POSSIBLY) - Cornwall & Devon

The *Dallas City* isn't an everyday dive, not with her deck at 59 metres. This is one for the technical crew, a proper expedition, and frankly, one of our favourite deep wrecks in the UK when conditions play ball. She’s a big girl, 130 metres long, hit by a mine in 1940 and now lying on her port side, mostly intact. What we love about her is the scale and the sense of history you get down there. Dropping down, the sheer size of the hull becomes apparent, a dark, looming presence in the gloom. We’ve found the bridge section particularly rewarding, though penetration requires careful planning and appropriate training. Look for conger eels poking out from every nook and cranny, and if you’re lucky, you might spot a ling darting through the holds. It’s a serious dive, but for experienced technical divers comfortable with the depth and potential currents, she offers a truly compelling piece of maritime history.
