InDepth - Cornwall & Devon
The team at InDepth, spread across Cornwall and Devon, are a refreshingly down-to-earth bunch who genuinely love getting people in the water. We’ve always appreciated their no-nonsense approach to dive training; they focus on practical skills and comfort in the water rather than just ticking boxes. For anyone looking to get certified, especially in the UK’s cooler waters, they’re a superb choice. What InDepth really nails is making UK diving accessible and enjoyable. They specialize in PADI courses, and we’ve seen them patiently guide nervous first-timers through their Open Water all the way to more advanced drysuit specialties. Our favourite tip for diving with them? Ask about their local wreck dives once you’re comfortable. There’s something special about dropping onto a forgotten piece of history, the kelp swaying gently around it, and the occasional inquisitive seal poking its head in. The water can be chilly, so a good drysuit is a must, but the rewards are worth it – think schools of glittering pollack, spider crabs scuttling across the seabed, and visibility that, on a good day, stretches far enough to see the whole mast of a wreck. They’re excellent for divers who appreciate thorough, friendly instruction and want to explore the surprisingly rich temperate waters of the UK.
