DOUBLE VISION - Cornwall & Devon

Okay, so Double Vision. You know how some wrecks are just… there? This isn’t one of them. For a little fishing vessel, she’s got real character, even after going down at anchor in ’98. We love how shallow she is, sitting bolt upright at seven metres. It means you get proper bottom time, really soaking it all in. You can easily explore the entire deck, see the wheelhouse almost intact. Sometimes, if the sun’s out, light filters down through the surface, dancing across the metal. It’s not about huge pelagics here, it’s about the smaller things – the wrasse picking through the rust, crabs scuttling under collapsed plating, and sometimes a friendly conger eel peeking from a dark corner. We'd suggest going on a slack tide for the best visibility, which can swing from a few metres to ten on a good day. It’s a brilliant site for newer wreck divers, or anyone who just wants a relaxed, interesting dive without the pressure of depth or strong currents.
