    StandoutExceptional marine biodiversity

The Dryad, an iron-built sailing vessel wrecked off the coast in 1891, lies scattered across the seabed at a shallow 10-meter depth. What was once a 62-meter ship is now a series of broken plates and ribs, offering a rummage-style dive rather than an intact wreck exploration. We often spot conger eels tucked into the larger sections of twisted metal, and the shallower nature of the site means there’s plenty of light to appreciate the anemones and small wrasse darting between the debris. It’s a good spot for newer wreck divers to get a feel for a historical site without the challenges of depth or complex penetration. Visibility can be a bit variable here, so we always check conditions before heading out.

    Safety Notes

Wreck site - avoid penetration without wreck diving certification. Watch for sharp metal and entanglement hazards.
