FENNA (PROBABLY) - Cornwall & Devon

The *Fenna* is a wreck dive that really punches above its weight, even if the visibility can be a bit… Cornish. This isn't a site for spotting megafauna, it's about the pure joy of exploring history sunk beneath the waves. Built of wood in 1862, she went down in 1881, carrying a fascinating cargo of glass, rails, and manufactured goods. We love how her wooden ribs, now softened by time and current, still hold a ghostly shape. You can spend a good chunk of a dive poking around the scattered debris field; we've found pottery shards and twisted bits of metal that really connect you to her story. What you'll find today is a remarkably intact footprint of a sailing vessel, colonised by an explosion of anemones and dead man’s fingers. The light filters through the green water, often illuminating schools of pollack darting between the timbers. Look closely in the nooks and crannies for squat lobsters and the occasional shy conger eel. This is a dive for those who appreciate maritime history and the quiet beauty of a wreck slowly returning to the sea.
