FULBORE III - Cornwall & Devon

The Fulbore III, a relatively modern wreck sunk in 1997, is our pick for a rewarding deep dive off the Cornish coast. Dropping down to 29 meters, it’s not for the faint of heart or the inexperienced, but the rewards are there. We love the way she sits upright, mostly intact, offering a real sense of her former life as a trawler. You can fin along her deck, peer into the wheelhouse, and explore the holds, which are now home to some impressive resident conger eels. Visibility here can be temperamental, as is often the case in UK waters, but on a good day, the light penetration into the interior spaces is genuinely atmospheric. Look out for the nudibranchs that graze on the superstructure and the dogfish tucked into crevices. This wreck is a proper penetration dive for those with the right training, but even staying outside, you get a fantastic feel for a working vessel reclaimed by the sea.
