Why dive here
With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and ocean sunfish (mola mola) - Gannet s Rock offers some of Cornwall & Devon's richest diving. Water ranges 10-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
Gannet’s Rock offers a straightforward dive onto a rocky seabed, typical of the Cornish coast. We’ve found the depth here to be pretty variable, but it’s generally a good spot for newer divers to get comfortable in temperate waters. Expect to find wrasse and conger eels tucked into the crevices, with spider crabs often scuttling across the rocks. It’s a solid choice for a relaxing dive when other sites are too exposed.
