INISHEER - Cornwall & Devon

The Inisheer is a proper little wreck, a fishing boat scuttled in ‘83 that now sits upright and relatively intact in around 39m. We love a wreck with a story, and the tale of her sinking while under tow is a good one to share over a pint after the dive. Down there, you’ll find her draped in jewel anemones, a colourful carpet that really pops in the torchlight. Conger eels are a common sight, often peeking out from the darker corners of the wheelhouse or engine room, and the curious spider crabs clamber all over her structure. It’s a dive that rewards a slow approach, letting your eyes adjust and pick out the details. We’d suggest a slack water dive to really enjoy poking around without fighting a current.
