INISINVER - Cornwall & Devon

The Inisinver is one of those wrecks we keep coming back to, a proper deep dive with a story. She went down in 1930 after hitting something submerged, and she lies proud at 42 metres, a solid target on the echo sounder. We love the way she’s mostly intact, offering plenty of nooks and crannies for exploration, especially if you’re comfortable with overhead environments. Her prop is a real draw, often covered in jewel anemones that pulse with colour in your torch beam, and we've spotted some impressively large conger eels lurking in the deeper holds. Visibility here can be a bit of a gamble, but when it’s good, the sheer scale of her structure is impressive, the hull plates draped in dead man’s fingers and hydroids. It’s a site that rewards experienced divers, those comfortable with the depth and ready for a proper wreck dive, rather than a drift over a reef. Our favourite time to visit is late summer; the water’s a touch warmer, and often calmer, making the descent and decompression much more pleasant.
