LEASTILIEN - Cornwall & Devon

Leastilien is a cracking little wreck, one of our favourites for an easy dive in Cornwall. She's a small fishing vessel, just under 12 metres, that went down in 1987. What we really love about her is how accessible she is, sitting bolt upright in only 10 metres of water. You can spend a good hour just finning around her structure, poking your head into the wheelhouse area, and admiring the propeller. The wreck has really taken on a life of its own. Everywhere you look, there’s a carpet of dead man's fingers, the orange and white soft corals clinging to every surface. Schools of pollack often hang just above the deck, shimmering in the sunlight that filters down, while shy conger eels peer out from under plating. We'd suggest timing your dive for slack water; it makes exploring the interior much more relaxed. It’s a perfect spot for newer wreck divers or anyone who just fancies a chilled-out mooch.
