LIVERPOOL - Cornwall & Devon

The *Liverpool* is a proper piece of maritime history, not just some scattered planks. We love this site for its accessibility and the way the wreck has settled into the seabed. It’s a shallow dive, around 5 metres, making it perfect for newer divers or those who want a longer bottom time without the decompression worries. We’d suggest going at slack tide to really appreciate the details – the general cargo, those scattered remnants of its journey from Antwerp to San Francisco, now home to all sorts of critters. You’ll find plenty of inquisitive wrasse darting between the broken timbers, and if you look closely, shore crabs scuttling over the plates. The wreck itself offers some great swim-throughs, tight but manageable, giving you a real sense of being inside a shipwreck. Visibility here can vary, but on a good day, the sunlight plays through the gaps, illuminating the kelp that sways with the gentle surge. It’s an intimate wreck dive, one where you can truly connect with the past, seeing how nature reclaims these old vessels.
