LOUISE - Cornwall & Devon

The Louise is a proper blast from the past, sunk way back in 1855, and it’s a dive we always recommend for its historical flavour. She was a cutter, lost on the Paternoster Reef off Jersey, and what you see today are the scattered remains that tell a story. We particularly love poking around the deeper sections of the debris field, where you can still make out the ribs of the hull, now completely encrusted. You'll spend your dive navigating through plates and beams, each piece a home for the local critters. Conger eels are a common sight, often peering out from under larger sections of wreckage, and you'll spot plenty of wrasse darting between the kelp that sways over the wreck. It’s a dive that rewards slow exploration, peering into every crevice, rather than just cruising over the top. We think it’s best suited to divers who appreciate a bit of history and don't mind a treasure hunt for the wreck's character amidst the marine growth.
