Mixon Hole - Cornwall & Devon

Mixon Hole sits off the coast of Cornwall, a spot we'd classify as a solid intermediate dive. Dropping to 24m, it’s not for absolute beginners, but if you’re comfortable with a bit of a current and a deeper profile, there's plenty to explore. We’ve found the real draw here is the structure itself – a sizeable rock formation with crevices and overhangs that provide shelter for wrasse, blennies, and often a patrolling pollack or two. Visibility can be a bit variable, as it often is in the UK, but on a good day, the light plays nicely through the kelp, making for some moody, atmospheric shots. It’s a good choice for divers looking to spend some time investigating nooks and crannies rather than chasing big pelagics.
