NORDLAND (POSSIBLY) - Cornwall & Devon

The Nordland, a fishing vessel that went down under tow in 1983, isn’t your sprawling battleship, but at just over 14 metres, she’s a genuinely satisfying dive. We love this wreck for its character, sitting upright and mostly intact on the seabed at 50 metres. Descending through the typical Cornwall green, the bow often materialises first, draped in plumose anemones, their white tentacles waving gently in the current. Our favourite part is the wheelhouse, still largely recognisable, a ghostly cockpit inviting a quick peek inside. You'll often spot conger eels poking their heads from pipes and crevices, sometimes a grumpy monkfish settled in the sand nearby. Penetration is really limited to a look-through, but the external details – winches, a gantry, and scattered gear – provide plenty to explore. This is a dive for experienced wreck enthusiasts who appreciate the subtle beauty of a smaller, well-preserved wreck and don't mind the depth. It’s a proper deep dive, so watch that bottom time.
