PEN-Y-MOR (POSSIBLY) - Cornwall & Devon

The Pen-y-Mor, or what we believe to be the Pen-y-Mor, is one of those deeper wrecks off the Cornish coast that just keeps giving. Dropping down onto her at 41 metres, the first thing that hits you is the sheer sense of scale for a yacht. She didn't just sink; she really broke up, and the debris field is extensive, making for a proper deep exploration dive. We love finning along the deeper sections, watching the light fade as you go, then seeing the dark shapes of conger eels slide back into the shadows. The structure itself is well-colonised, with dense patches of dead man's fingers and some seriously chunky lobsters tucked into every crevice. Our best tip? Hit this site on a slack tide, otherwise, you'll be fighting the current the whole way, and trust us, that gets tiring at depth. It's a proper adventure for experienced divers looking for a bit of a challenge and a rewarding glimpse into maritime history.
