Pendennis Shore Dive - Cornwall & Devon

Pendennis Shore Dive is one of those spots we find ourselves coming back to often when we’re in Cornwall. It’s got a real knack for surprising you. We love just strolling down the beach, kitting up by the rocks, and slipping straight in. The entry is pretty straightforward, good for a leisurely afternoon dive. What makes it special? It’s a macro dream. We’ve spent whole dives just poking around the nooks and crannies of the rocks. You’ll spot jewel anemones glowing in the crevices, and curled octopuses often peek out from under ledges, their eyes tracking you. We’ve seen red mullet sifting through the sand, and if you’re patient, the occasional garfish glides past in the midwater. Keep an eye out for triggerfish too, especially later in the season. We usually find the best visibility and less surge around slack high tide, so plan your dive around that. It's a forgiving dive, perfect for photographers or anyone who enjoys a slow, meandering exploration rather than a deep blue adventure.
