PESK-COAT - Cornwall & Devon

The PESK-COAT wreck holds a special spot in our hearts. This 17-meter fishing vessel went down in '91, and she’s settled upright at 55 meters, making her a solid pick for technical divers keen on exploring a piece of local history. What we love about the PESK-COAT is how intact she is; you can still make out the wheelhouse, the mast, and even the fishing gear. It’s like a time capsule from the Cornish fishing industry. Swimming along her deck, we’ve found the entire structure now colonised by plumose anemones, creating these incredible, feathery white walls. Look closer and you'll spot conger eels poking their heads from every dark crevice, and often, we’ll see dogfish resting on the sandy seabed nearby. Our favourite moment down here is often just taking in the sheer amount of life that now calls this steel hull home – it's a bustling apartment block on the deep. We’d suggest diving her on a slack tide for the best visibility, especially if you want to spend time peeking into the engine room.
