U 325 (POSSIBLY) - Cornwall & Devon

Now this is a properly interesting dive. The U-325, or what we strongly suspect is the U-325, lies deep off the Cornish coast, a Type VII C U-boat from the dying days of WWII. Dropping onto her at 55 metres, you immediately feel the weight of history. The conning tower is still proud, though encrusted, and the sheer scale of the boat is impressive. We love tracing the deck, imagining the crew’s last moments as she succumbed to a mine in April 1945. It’s a dark dive, obviously, and often there's a fair bit of current, so be prepared for some serious work. But the rewards are there. Her hull is covered in plumose anemones, their white tentacles waving gently in the flow, and conger eels lurk in every open hatch and torpedo tube. It’s a wreck for experienced technical divers, absolutely, offering the thrill of discovery and a tangible connection to maritime history. Come equipped for low visibility and remember, this isn’t a quick jaunt. Plan your deco, bring your best trim, and respect the metal graveyard. Our favourite spot is peering into the forward torpedo tubes – the sheer size of them is always a shock.
