UB 112 (POSSIBLY) - Cornwall & Devon

Diving the UB 112 is a trip back in time, and we love it for that raw, tangible history. This isn't a deep dive, barely two metres, so it’s less about depth and more about discovery. The wreck itself is remarkably intact for something intentionally sunk for target practice, a fascinating skeletal outline of a German submarine. You can trace its length, imagining the crew who once navigated these very corridors. What makes the UB 112 standout is how the sea has reclaimed it. Patches of colourful anemones cling to the metal, and small shoals of pollack drift through the open torpedo tubes. We’ve even spotted crabs scuttling amongst the debris. The limited depth means fantastic light penetration on a sunny day, illuminating the structure and the life within. It’s perfect for new wreck divers or those keen on underwater photography, offering clear details without the usual depth constraints. Come on a calm day for the best visibility; it really makes a difference here.
