PROVIDER A - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The *Provider A* isn't the biggest wreck out there, but we love it for its quiet charm and the surprisingly good condition of the stern. Dropping down, you’ll find this 16.5-meter fishing vessel resting upright at 52 meters, a silent sentinel on the seabed. The bow has taken a bit of a beating, mostly flattened, but the stern is where the real character shines through. We always make a beeline for the wheelhouse, which is still largely intact, offering fantastic swim-throughs if you're comfortable with a bit of overhead. For those with the right training, there's a good penetration into the engine room, though it's snug. Look closely inside and out for the resident crabs and blennies that have made this steel hull their home. Visibility here can vary wildly, as with much of the Scottish coast, but on a good day, the low light filtering down to the wreck gives it an atmospheric, almost spooky feel. It's a dive that definitely suits experienced wreck divers who appreciate the history and marine life of a smaller, well-preserved wreck rather than vast cargo holds.
