We love that they’ve stuck to their roots, quietly building a solid reputation without a lot of fuss. While the North Sea might not offer the bathwater temperatures of the tropics, what it lacks in warmth, it makes up for in character. Think kelp forests swaying in the surge, the occasional seal darting past, and a real sense of adventure. We’d suggest going in late spring or early autumn for the best chance of decent visibility – those long summer days are great, but sometimes the plankton bloom can knock back the sightlines. It’s a proper UK diving experience, and The Diving Centre Ltd will get you ready for it. Bring a drysuit, obviously.
