RISING SUN - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The *Rising Sun* sits flat on the seabed at a manageable 12 metres, making it a good wreck dive for most qualification levels in the often-chilly North Sea. She’s a fishing vessel, and while classified as dangerous, we found her surprisingly accessible with plenty of nooks to poke around in. You'll see her decks, wheelhouse, and various machinery, all now well-colonised by local life. Expect to spot plenty of crabs scuttling over the metalwork, nudibranchs clinging to the superstructure, and occasionally a curious seal passing by. We think it’s a solid dive for those looking to add a Scottish wreck to their logbook without venturing into deeper, more challenging waters.
