BRAEMAR - Scottish West Coast

The Braemar, a sailing vessel that met its end in 1985 after hitting an obstruction, now rests at 22m on the Scottish seabed. We’ve found her to be a gentle dive, perfectly suited for those looking to explore a relatively intact wreck without deep penetration. Visibility can vary, as it often does in these waters, but on a good day, the Braemar offers clear views of her structure, which has become a canvas for marine growth. Look for the nudibranchs tucked into crevices and the occasional inquisitive wrasse darting through the broken deck. She’s a great introduction to wreck diving here, straightforward and generally without strong currents.
