EXTROVERT - Scottish West Coast

The Extrovert, resting at 52m, is a fantastic little wreck, perfect for a deep-but-not-too-deep technical dive on the Scottish West Coast. We love the story behind her – a 9.1m sailing vessel that struck Bogha Nuadh and decided to call it a day back in '93. She's a compact, upright wreck, mostly intact, which is always a bonus when you’re down that deep. When you drop down, the visibility here often surprises people; on a good day, it's easily 10-15m, which really lets you appreciate the scale. The bow points slightly upwards, and you can see the mast still stretching out, draped in plumose anemones – they really add a splash of colour against the dark hull. Inside, the cabin is small but surprisingly open, letting you peek in at what’s left of her fittings. We always spot conger eels tucked into nooks and crannies, and the occasional anglerfish, perfectly camouflaged on the deck. It’s a quiet, contemplative dive, far from any crowds, making it one of our favourite tech dives in the area. This site suits experienced divers comfortable with deeper wrecks and cold water.
